Chandigarh, May 10, 2013: Police have solved the murder case of Sukhraj Singh Bhagupur, Youth Congress President of the Patti assembly constituency in Tarn Taran district.
He was shot dead by some miscreants on May 8 this year, following which it had become a political issue. Even the PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa had visited the aggrieved family members of the deceased.
According to an official information, initial investigation showed that two brothers Harcharan Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, sons of Amrik Singh, both residents of village Bhagupur, had committed the murder.
Both the accused have been arrested and the weapon used in the offence, a licensed .12 bore gun belonging to Harcharan Singh, has been recovered.
