Ferozpeur, April 24, 2013: Presently, Punjab Mail runs daily from Ferozepur for Mumbai and now the people Jalalabad-Fazilka, who played a vital role in making the Fazilka as district headquarter, has now come up with the demand of extending the Punjab Mail upto to Fazilka.
Number of social organisations have sent a memorandum to Central Railway Minister Pawan Bansal, local MP and Sukhbir Singh Badal, deputy chief minister, Punjab, who won the assembly seat from Jalalabad for starting of Punjab Mail from Fazilka instead of Ferozepur.
According to the representatives of local various organisations, with the change in the schedule of Punjab Mail, the department is likely to get a good revenue besides a relief to the people of Ferozepur-Fazilka.
The BJP representatives Rajender Pruthi and Sandeep Saluja have assured to take up the matter with the deputy chief minister to put forth the demand of the people of the area for early starting of Punjab Mail from Fazilka.
