Chandigarh, March 1, 2013: The Punjab Government has decided to include Anganwari Children in the age group of 3 to 6 in the ambit of National Rural Health Mission and School Health Programme for providing them free treatment for Thalassemia, Cancer and Chronic Heart diseases.
According to K S Pannu Director General School Education instructions has been issued to all School Heads to identify children suffering from these diseases so that their treatment could be insured by the Government.
He said that after identifying such children they have been told to submit the case on the record performa attested by CDPO for necessary action.
