Chandigarh, June 23, 2014: The Punjab Government has constituted special sessions courts in each district for trial of offences under National Investigation Agency Act, 2008.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Home Affairs and Justice Department of the Punjab government said that courts of Sessions Judge and first Additional Sessions Judge have been constituted with the concurrence of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He said that these courts, which have been constituted in each district heard the trials of such offenses as are specified under the schedule of National Investigation Agency, Act,2008 (Central Act No. 34 of 2008). These courts would hear only those cases, which falls under their respective jurisdiction.
