The two-day ‘Ectopia-2014’ on Wednesday concludes at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, March 19, 2014: The enthusiasm of students and participants reached its peak on the second and concluding day of ‘Ectopia-2014’ held at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana. On Tuesday evening, the students witnessed thrilling performance by rock band-Chronic Rreignn. The band brought a high energy performance, entertaining audiences with a mix of pop, rock, county, and funk music styles.
The day, today, began with segments including Solo Songs, Group Songs, Antakshri. Ad-Fads and Skit. In ‘Ad Fads’ segment, the students conceptualised and enact an advertisement based on a humorous concept of product/services. The excellent performance and humorous ideas in ‘Ad Fads’ segment left the audience in splits. The first position in Ad Fads was bagged by batch 2010, second by batch 2009 and third was bagged by batch 2013.
The antakshri remained the most happening event of the day, which saw five teams contending for top honours The 2013 batch was still ahead of other batches, while the 2009 batch was in second spot.
Yesterday eveneing, the students participatd in Karaoke, Duet Dance, solo dance, Choregoraphy, Rock Band Performances. The participants dramatically depicted important social issues in the choregraphy segment. Student Organizers-Vibhushit Kaul, Harleen Kaur and Sameer Mittu thanked the faculty for their whole-hearted support and also thanked the participating students in showing full enthusiasm in the ongoing cultural festival
