Members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) District Jalandhar on Friday burnt the effigies of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
Jalandhar, January 3, 2014: Members of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) District Jalandhar today burnt the effigies of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in protest against the hike in the prices of LPG cylinder.
Protestors shouted slogans against the UPA-led government at the Centre. Addressing the protestors, the party president Rajeev Dhingra, General Secretary Ashok Sareen, BJUM state executive member Karan Vij said the subsidy to common man on LPG is only entitled to those who have Aadhaar cards. This policy is strongly condemned, they said, adding those who have no Aadhaar Cards will fail to enjoy subsidised LPG cylinder.
They also condemned the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his remarks against BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
