Rain led to traffic jams on Jalandhar roads on Friday.

Jalandhar, August 16, 2013: The today’s rain brought cheer to the paddy growers in this area but at the same time it greatly upsets urbanites as the road inundated with rain water created problems for commuters.
Big traffic jams were witnessed on the city roads due to the rain. Residents feel that traffic jams took place because of improper disposal of rain water. Otherwise, the city witnesses traffic jams because of increased number of vehicles on the road and delay being caused in completion of six lane project and flyovers at different places in the city.
The photograph of traffic jam with this story was taken at 5 pm at Rama Mandi Chowk where the under-construction flyover is lying incomplete. The roads in this area were seen flooded with rain water. The situation at the general bus stand was also pathetic during the rain.
