Chandigarh, June 15, 2013: The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today express profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of former Veteran CPI leader and ex- MLA from Amritsar Satpal Dang, 92, who passed away in a private hospital at Amritsar after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence message the chief Minister recalled the outstanding services of Satpal Dang who played a pro-active role to uplift oppressed and downtrodden sections of the society.
Badal described Dang as distinguished leader with a rare qualities of humility, intellect and dedications for the welfare of poor. Satpal Dang always championed the cause for strengthening national integration, brotherhood communal harmony and peace in the state.
Meanwhile the Deputy Chief Minster Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal also expressed shocks at the demise of Veteran leftist leader and shared brief with the bereaved family.
Revenue and Information and Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia also condoled the demise of former Veteran CPI leader and Ex- MLA from Amritsar Dang.
They prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give courage to the members of the bereaved family, friends and relatives to bear this irreparable loss.
