Ferozepur, June 5, 2013: The Dairy Development, Punjab is making efforts at large scale to being quality in the agriculture and to give knowledge about the technical knowledge in the dairy development. While the unemployed youths, both boys and girls, by providing the self-employment training for 15 days and 45 days for dairy training, are provided loan from the banks at low rate of interest, the 25 per cent subsidy is allowed to them. This information was given by Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur while addressing the meeting regarding dairy development.
Deputy Commissioner advising all the banks in the district said, the loan to the trained farmers should be provided on priority so that more people could get employment along with the concerned farmer.
Speaking on the scheme started by NABARD, he said, the subsidy to the farmers is also available for keeping two to ten animals, on getting financial assistance from the banks to the extent of 25 per cent for general category and 33.33 per cent to Scheduled Caste category.
