Ferozepur, May 29, 2013: In the meeting held at Baghbag – an old age home – the election of the President of NGO Coordination Committee, Block Ferozepur was held and Inder Singh Gogia, a dedicated and devoted for social services in Ferozepur, got a hat-trick on unanimous choice of the house for the third time as President.
Since there was no rival candidate, he was allowed to continue as President for the current year also.
However, the District NGOs Coordination Committee whose elections were also due, got elected its Chairman, in some other function of the existing Chairman of State Award ceremony, unconstitutionally without proper calling a meeting of the house, which cropped up a controversy among the units of the NGOs Coordination Committee.
In the meeting, it was also decided by the Ferozepur Unit that the issue of becoming Chairman of District Unit unconstitutionally would hold good till such time the proper election of the Chairman of District Body are held.
Inder Singh Gogia, the newly elected President, speaking on the occasion said, “The existing executive body would continue to work. However, in case any of the members wants a change, he should give in writing to consider the same”.
The election process was finalised in the presence of members by Vipan Kumar Sharma and Harish Kumar Monga, patrons.
