Ferozeur, May 14, 2013: In meeting of Punjab State Ministerial Employees Union held at Bachhat Bhawan, Ludhiana under the leadership of State President, Sukhraj Singh Sandhu held on May 1, it was brought to notice of all the employees that Punjab Government has agreed to accept the five major demands of employees and the same would be implemented by April 30 as per the assurance given on 21 March 2013. On this assurance, the agitation by the union was withdrawn.
Vijay Behal, President said, the Punjab Government has backed out from its commitment and using dilly-dallying tactics as hitherto and there is a great resentment among the employees which has once again disturbed the employee-employers relationship. The state leadership has decided to give one more notice to the Punjab Government with an appeal to accept the demands by May 15 failing which the protest rallies will be organised infront of the DC offices, Tehsil and SDM offices, in the state on May 16 and 17 and wear black badges on their shoulders.
On this occasion, besides the staff, Manohar Lal, general secretary, Varinder Sharma, senior vice president, Rajvinder Kaur, vice president and Rajneesh, office secretary and Sonu, finance secretary were present.
