The nurses’ week being celebrated by TNAI and SNA Units of College of Nursing, CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, May 11, 2013: The nurses’ week is being celebrated from May 6 to 12. Under these celebrations, a function was organised on Saturday to celebrate Nurses’ Day by TNAI and SNA Units of College of Nursing, CMC & Hospital, Ludhiana.
This day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Modern Nursing Miss Florence Nightingale.
The theme of the Nurses’ Day was “Closing the Gap, Millennium Development Goals”. Prof. Ponnamma R. Singh, Principal and Dr. Triza Jiwan gave their views on Nurses Day Theme.
The scientific session was conducted by Shabnam Masih and Sunita Martin on topic “Promoting Gender equality and empowering women”. Role play was enacted by the Nursing students and cultural programme was presented by the TNAI members including poster competition.
All TNAI members participated enthusiastically under the leadership of Prof. Ponnamma R. Singh, Principal, Prof. Triveni Rajappa, Nursing Superintendent, and Balqis Victor, President, TNAI, CMC Unit.
