Ferozepur, May 9, 2013: As per the crime report release today by SSP, Ferozepur, a case has been registered on the complaint of Forest Range Officer, Ferozepur against five persons under Sections 447, 427, 353, 186, 506, 148, 149 IPC and Indian Forest Act 1927, for manhandling for forest department officials on duty.
Giving the details of the information, Major Singh, entrusted with the Inquiry Officer informed that in village Langeana, 44 kanals of land, on both side of the canal, under Khasra (No.83) was in possession of the alleged accused Balwant Singh, Rsal Singh, Satnam Singh, Satwant Singh, Kulwant Singh resident of Basti Mdhre, village Langeana falling under Sadar Police Station, Ferozepur.
He further said, on May 6, 2013, on the said land, Forest Range Officer alongwith his officials was digging the pits for tree plantation. The alleged accused on reaching the spot allegedly started abusing and manhandled with them while they were doing the official duty besides they torn their clothes and threatened the complainant with dire consequences. Rather, they allegedly threatened the employees who had come for tree plantation in case they came again to the village for the purpose.
He also added that after registration of the case, the investigation into the case has been started. However, no arrest has so far been made in this case.
