Ludhiana, May 3, 2013: An important meeting of Governing Body of Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of Punjab (FEDSEN-Punjab) will be held at 10 a.m. on May 5 in Seminar Hall of Punjab Management & Extension Training Institute (PAMETI) in PAU Campus, Ludhiana.
The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Amarjit Singh Khehra, President of FEDSEN and former Vice Chancellor of PAU. Besides office bearers, meeting will be attended by Presidents of about twenty-five organisations of senior citizens from all over Punjab as well as President of Chandigarh Senior Citizens Association.
Giving this information, S P Karkara, IAS (Retd.), Senior Vice President of FEDSEN and President of Senior Citizens’ Welfare Association Ludhiana (SCWAL), which is hosting the meeting said that in this meeting, besides other matters, strategy to strengthen senior citizen movement in the state will be discussed and programme will be decided upon to pursue with the Central Government and Punjab Government various pending issues concerning senior citizens. Also websites of FEDSEN and SCWAL will be formally launched at about 1 p.m. by Dr. Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University.
