Ferozepur, May 3, 2013: Agreed Foundation, Punjab– Action Group for Research in Education and Environmental Development – committed for development of education and environment in the state, has now extended its field to help the poor persons by providing them clothes.
Giving this information, Dr. Satinder Singh, President and President Awardee said, the poor people living in the slum areas of the city are not in a position to meet their day today requirements out of their daily earnings. The Foundation, with its members from the teaching community, after making sincere efforts of collecting the old and new clothes from the city by starting a campaign for a week’s time, organised a camp for two days at Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk to distribute the clothes to the poor people. On the first day, clothes to more than 150 poor children were provided. Now the next project is to distribute the clothes to the poor and needy children by visiting the villages situated along the Indo-Pak border. To make this project a grand success, all the members put their efforts in collecting the clothes by visiting house to house in the city.
