Chandigarh, 2 May, 2013: The Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has issued new instructions for the entrance into the Officer’s Gallery during the Session on May 3. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vidhan Sabha said that the new instructions have been issued due to security reasons and limited seats in the Gallery.
He said that now onwards the passes for the Officer’s Gallery would be issued on the name of the Administrative Secretaries/ HODs. He said that one pass would also be issued to another senior officer of the concerned department so that Administrative Secretaries/ HODs could depute his/ her representative in case of their absence. He said that the entry of phone has been prohibited.
It has also been clarified that the parking area in front of the Speaker’s Gate is totally reserved for Speaker/ Deputy Speaker, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Leader opposition party and for Chief Parliamentary Secretaries.
