Chandigarh, April 29, 2013: The Punjab and Haryana High Court today convened a Full Court Reference to condole the sad demise of noted Justice, jurist and legal luminary Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy, Former Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Supreme Court of India, in which all the judges of High Court took part.
While sharing the grief, the Acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Justice Jasbir Singh said that Justice Reddy was a symbol of simplicity, dedication and commitment and was also known for his high professional caliber. He described the sad demise of Reddy as a huge loss to the legal fraternity. Acting Chief Justice further said that the legal fraternity has lost a great human being and legal luminary.
The other dignitaries, who paid tributes to the departed soul included; Ashok Aggarwal and Hawa Singh Hooda, both Advocate Generals of Punjab and Haryana respectively, Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu, Chairman, High Court Bar Association and Iqbal Singh Saggu, Vice President, Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana. It is pertinent to mention here that Justice Reddy expired on April 13, 2013 at Hyderabad.
