Ludhiana, April 24, 2013: Local vigilance bureau (VB) sleuths have caught red handed ACP (South), Ludhiana, BS Chauhan for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant who deals in scrap.
When contacted, Ludhiana SSP (VB) Satinderpal Singh confirmed the arrest. He told City Air News that the accused police officer had demanded bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant for doing his favour.
He further said the accused police officer was caught red handed on Wednesday for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs. 25, 000.
SSP (VB) said the complainant deal in the scrap.
However, he did not give more details at the moment.
SSP (VB) told that the accused police officer was posted in the Focal Point Area.
He told that Chauhan had been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
