NEED of improving education system for bringing development: Dewan, Pappi

Rs. 3 lakh grant cheque being given to Government Primary School, Barota.

Ludhiana, April 16, 2013: The Ludhiana District Congress Committee (Urban) president Pawan Dewan and Vidhan Sabha Halqa South In-charge Ashok Prashar Pappi have said children were future of nation and the target of development could only be accomplished only after providing them better education.
Union Minister Manish Tewari had always tried to uplift the standard of education, they said adding Tewari strongly believed that the nation could progress only when children would be imparted quality education.
Addressing a gathering at Government Primary School, New Shimlapuri, Barota Road, they added pace of development of the country could be increased further after bringing further improvement in the educational structure of the country.
They revealed that funds worth crores of rupees had been allocated to Ludhiana and all other districts of Punjab under the UPA-led government sponsored programme Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RAMSA). They said besides RAMSA, free education and food was also being provided to children under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan programme and Mid Day Meal scheme.
On the occasion, they handed over a cheque of grant of Rs. 3 lakh to the school for further promotion of education. This grant has been given out of MP Fund Quota of local MP Manish Tewari, who is also the Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
Dewan announced that there would be no shortage of funds for the schools for ensuring providing of quality education to the students. Among others Jarnail Singh Shimlapuri, Sarabjit Kaur MC, Balvinder Singh Bedi, Avtar Singh Kanda, Sushil Prashar, Navneesh Malhotra, Rohit Pahwa, Ex- MC Rajinder Bajwa were also present.
