Cadila Pharmaceuticals celebrated IAMICON2014 at Ludhiana

Ludhiana, November 15, 2014: Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited – one of India’s largest privately-held pharmaceuticals companies – organised the country’s biggest-ever scientific conclave– IAMICON 2014 (Indravadan Ambalal Modi Innovation Conclave)in Ludhiana to celebrate Innovation and Excellence in the Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences sector. Covering 50 cities across India, IAMICON 2014 will focus on advances in the treatment of Tuberculosis and Cardiovascular diseases.
Dr Rashmi Kerr (DM, Medicine), Gold Medalist from CMC this year, was conferred the ‘Indravadan Ambalal Modi Academic Excellence Award’, which was presented by Chief Guest Dr. S S Gill. Dr K L Dhar was Chairperson for the sessions on ‘Cardiovascular Risk Management’ and ‘Recent Advancements in Tuberculosis’. Conceived to celebrate Innovation and Excellence in the Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences sector, IAMICON will bring together the world’s brightest minds in Medical Science to discuss and disseminate the latest updates in Science and Medicine.

IAMICON 2014 is being held on 14-15-16 and 21-22-23November in 50 cities across India. More than 300 national and international speakers and 20,000-plus doctors will participate in India’s biggest medical knowledge conclave.

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated480,000 people developed Multi-Drug Resistant TB and an estimated 210,000 died from it in 2013. TB is considered one of the largest global killers, with India reporting 230 cases per 100,000 people.
