Ludhiana, October 26, 2014: Bharat Vikas Parishad Dr.Kitchlu Branch in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab organised Free Artificial Limbs Distribution Camp on Sunday at Viklang Sahayta Kender, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana. Artificial Limbs, Calipers, Crutches & Hearing aids were given to 50 physically challenged persons.
Anil Gupta, Managing Director, Auto Tech Pvt Ltd was the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of Bharat Vikas Parishad in mitigating the sufferings of Handicapped persons. Manorama Sharma (President, Nirbal-Ke-Balram was the Guest of honour and Prof. Jitendra Prakash (President, Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust) presided over the function. They appreciated the works of the Parishad.
Narinder Mittal, Secretary said that Trust has organised 1001camps in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches, Tricycle & Hearing aids were provided to more than 41,800 physically handicapped persons. The Trust also organised Polio Surgery Camps, in which 2075 polio operations have been done successfully. Trust has also organised Nasha Mukti Camps & Medical Camps. He further informed that Trust will establish modern workshop for manufacture of Artificial Limbs and hosiery training centre will be started with the help of NSIC very soon.
Dr. D.R.C Bakhetia, State Convener (Health) BVP Punjab North said that this year Dr. Kitchlu Branch has organized two camps in which artificial limbs, Calipers, Crutches & Hearing aids were provided to more than 101 physically handicapped persons. The Branch has also organized Bal Sanskar Shiver, Sanskriti Pakhwara, Guruvandan Chattar Abhinandan, National Group Song Competition & Bharat Ko Jano Competitions. Aid to needy project is also being taken up for helping poor but deserving students.
Ravinder Mittal, Er. Bhupinder Singh, A.K Kapoor, Neelam Thapar, S. Sood, N. Mannnan, Archana Gupta, R.P Gupta & Members of Bharat Vikas Parishad were present on this occasion.
