Ludhiana, February 19, 2013: Police have arrested two accused in connection with an alleged attempt to commit robbery at around 3-45 pm on Monday at the house of Naresh Kumar, a resident of Street No. 1, Shivaji Nagar, Ludhiana.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, the Ludhiana ADCP Nilambri Jagdale told that the police had succeeded in solving the case within seven hours of the occurrence of the incident in which Naresh’s wife Veena Rani, daughter Deepika and servant were injured with sharp-edged weapon. The trio were rushed to the hospital after they had sustained injuries.
She told that the arrested accused had been identified as Joel alias Laddi and Raman Jain, both residents of Ludhiana.
Police have also recovered sharp-edged weapon used in the crime.
Joel alias Laddi had been working at the house of Naresh in the past.
