Ludhiana, June 5, 2014: The Indian Institute of Architects-Ludhiana Centre (IIA-LC) celebrated World Environment Day by holding a seminar to create awareness among masses.
H.S Boparai and Rajan Tangri, Jt.Hon.Secretaries of IIA-LC explained in detail about the importance of good environment for our health and life through built environment.
Yogesh Singla, talked about implementation of certain things in new upcoming buildings as well as keep follow the golden rule of 3R that is, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The theme for World Environment Day this year is “Greening the Blue” that is keeping our oceans and seas environment friendly so that all the living organisms can co-exist on this earth in complete harmony, which was explained by Vice Chairman Balbir Bagga.
Bimaldeep explained that World Environment Day is a day for us to inspect the state of our environment. It calls for us to stop in our tracks one day in the year and examine our surroundings. It asks us to pledge, in a small way at least, to do something for the environment.
The seminar was attended by Sanjay Goel Chairman IIA-LC, Harsharan Singh, Randhir Singh, Tarsem Goel, Sumit Sharma, Baljit Singh Bawa and Harpreet Kaur Dhillon.
