Jalandhar,May 16, 2014: In Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency, Santokh Singh Chaudhary of Congress was elected by a margin of 70989 votes here today.
He defeated his nearest rival Pawan Kumar Tinu (SAD).
A total 24 candidates were in the fray. Outof them 21 candidates have lost their deposits.
Chaudhary told the media persons that he would work against menace of drugs in Punjab. He said he would also raise his voice against the menace in the parliament too.
He regretted that use of drugs was spoiling future of the younger generation in Punjab.
