Chandigarh, February 6, 2014: Punjab to organise NRI Disputes Redressal Samellan on February 10, at Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur from 9:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. Disclosing this here today, IGP NRI Police Gurpreet Kaur Deo said that this sammelan is being organised to redress grievances of NRI’s on the spot.
IGP Gurpreet Deo said that Punjab Government has established 15 NRI Police stations for speedy disposal of complaints of NRI’s. To organise such a sammelan is another imitative of the Punjab Government to create a direct communication between senior officers and the NRI Complainants so that their complaints could be disposed of in a transparent and timely manner.
IGP NRI Police said that that in this NRI Disputes Redressal Samellan there would be an open interactive session by IGP/NRI & Women Wing and senior officers of the NRI & Women Wing in NRI cases.
She further said that Women facing matrimonial problems with NRI spouses shall be provided advice and counseling during one day sammelan. ‘Complainants in pending NRI cases shall be provided an update regarding current status of their case pending with the NRI Wing’, said Deo.
IGP Gurpreet Deo has also directed all the concerned Police officer to bring all details and current status of NRI complaints.
