Rahul Tewari.
Ludhiana, January 3, 2014: The Indian Institute of Architects, Ludhiana Centre (IIA-LC) chairman Sanjay Goel and joint honorary secretary Rajan Tangri have said that they are pleased on the appointment of Rahul Tewari as the head of all three leading development bodies responsible for development of the city. These bodies are: Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMC), Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) and Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT).
They said IIA-LC was requesting the state government for the last few years either to create a single development agency like Ludhiana Development Authority (LDA) on the pattern of other metros of the country like Delhi Development Authority (DDA) or to appoint a single administrator for all the different bodies.
The development of Ludhiana would be fast and accurate if all the three departments are controlled by a single administrator, as decision making will be very easy, they said.
Also, they said till today many important decisions meant for the fast development of Ludhiana city were either held up or getting delayed due to lack of coordination between these departments or many a times there was difference of opinion between various heads for the same city.
“We all at IIA-LC level congratulate Rahul Tewari and Punjab Government for this great step”, the said.// ludhiana news online, ludhiana news in English, ludhiana news, ludhiana current news, ludhiana news live, Ludhiana breaking news, Ludhiana headlines, Ludhiana latest news, punjab news, india news, punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news,
