Ludhiana News/National Meet on Acupuncture held at Dr.Kotnis Hospital

A “National Meet on Acupuncture” being held at Dr.Kotnis Hospital at Ludhiana on Sunday.

Ludhiana, December 9, 2013: Dr.Ram Gopal, Chairman, Research Advisory Board, Indian Research Institute for Integrated Medicine, and chairman of All India Coordination Committee for Alternative and Traditional Systems of Medicine has said despite the fact that lifespan had increased, more diseases were occurring. He added besides the older ailments were becoming more dangerous.
Speaking on the occasion of a “National Meet on Acupuncture” held at Dr.Kotnis Hospital here on Sunday, Dr. Ram Gopal added some of the diseases were becoming drug-resistant. He categorically stated that Acupuncture was the solution to such ailments. Further speaking about Acupuncture he said it gave prompt relief and also less expensive. He further said Acupuncture had no side-effects. He asserted that Acupuncture should be given recognition.
In his address, Dr.Debasis Bakshi, Director, Indian Research Institute for Integrated Medicine also said Acupuncture could prove very effective in treating drug addiction. He revealed that Acupuncture was used for treating patients suffering from drug addiction in US jails. He further said Acupuncture was also very effective in treating paralytic stroke because it provided immediate relief.
