Chandigarh, August 27, 2013: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today felicitated the Punjabis living in the state, country and even abroad on the auspicious occasion of Janamashtami- the Birthday of Lord Krishna.
In a congratulatory message, Badal said that Lord Krishna was an apostle of peace and saviour of dharma besides an epitome of truthfulness and righteousness. His long philosophical sermon contained in 'Srimad Bhagwat Geeta' was still relevant in the present times to accomplish eternal peace on one hand and strengthen the bonds of peace, love, harmony and brotherhood on the other.
Badal appealed to the people for celebrating this sacred day in perfect harmony with religious fervor and gaiety rising above the parochial considerations of caste, color, creed and religion. He exhorted the people to follow the path shown by Lord Krishna to have blissfulness and prosperity in their life.
