Ludhiana, January 21, 2013: Free Polio surgery corrective surgery operation camp was held at hospital run by Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab, Ludhiana.
A total 17 corrective surgeries were performed on eight polio affected persons.
The camp was organised in a association with ‘Jago’ a registered NGO.
Neelam Kapoor Chairperson Jago alongwith Col. (Retd.) J.S. Brar and Joginder Singh distributed fruits among the patients.
Suraj Jyoti, President, Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust informed that their kender has provided artificial limbs and other aids and appliances to more than 37,600 physically handicapped persons.
He further said more than 1,650 Polio affected persons have been successfully operated to stand on their feet.
among others, Pankaj Jindal, Secretary of the Trust, Dr. Kuldip and R. P. Gupta were present on the occasion.
