Ludhiana, July 20, 2013: The former Dean and Additional Director Communication ant Punjab Agricultural University and Life Member of Punjabi Sahit Akademi, Dr Ranjit Singh Tamber has been bereaved. His younger son Upinderjit Singh ( 30) expired this morning.
Giving this information, the Punjabi Sahit Akademi President Prof Gurbhajan Gill said that it is a great loss to family and friends.
Those who condoled the death of Upinderjit and offered sympathy to the bereaved family included Prof Gurbhajan Gill, PAU Vice Chancellor Dr B.S.Dhillon, GKU Vice Chancellor, Dr NS Malhi, former VC of GNDU Dr SP Singh, eminent photo artist T.P.S. Sandhu, PAU Additional Director Research Dr Jagtar Dhiman, Director Reference Library of Punjabi Sahit Akadmi, Principal Prem Singh Bajaj and people from different walks of life.
The cremation to be held at the cremation ground Model Town Extension at 5.00 pm today.
