The Estimates Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha on second day of its visit to Ludhiana city on Friday inspecting certain locations.

Ludhiana, July 5, 2013: The Estimates Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha on second day of its visit to this city on Friday inspected certain locations.
Committee under the chairmanship of MLA Prem Mittal visited various places within Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (LMV) limits such as sewerage disposal plant at Mini Rose Garden, Ganda Nullah, Buddha Nullah and under construction Lakkar bridge.
Besides, the committee also visited Bhattiyan sewage treatment plant, Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) complex on Rani Jhansi Road and indoor stadium at Pakhowal road.
The committee on the spot issued directions to the officials concerned to complete the pending work. On the occasion, LMC officials said the indoor stadium along the Pakhowal road would be completed by September 2014. The committee was also informed that one side of the Lakkar bridge would be made operational with effect from July 31 this year.
The committee has asked the LIT authorities to write a letter to the Punjab Government so that the allotment of shops could take place in the premises of the LIT complex on Rani Jhansi road.
Also, the committee has directed the LMC to provide all the documents such as maps and designs of the malls on Ferozepur Road, so that verification could be done.
