Kamal Sharma, BJP Punjab President alongwith the party leaders and workers making a round in the markets of Ferozepur on Friday, to collect funds for the Uttarakhand flood affected people.
Ferozepur, July 5, 2013: To uplift the people of Uttarakhand affected with natural calamity of devastating floods, BJP has fixed the target of sending Rs.2 crore from Punjab, said Kamal Sharma, BJP Punjab President.
Today, the BJP leaders and workers, after making a round in the local bazaars, collected Rs.1.34 lakhs for the Uttarakhand flood affected people. In addition, all the Akali-BJP Municipal Councilors have contributed one months’ salary towards this fund.
Kamal Sharma donated all the garlands of currency notes presented to him during the rally at Madhopur in Pathankot district and other places for the flood affected people.
