Ludhiana, January 17, 2013: Around 1,200 patients were examined till date, from this month-long Surgical and Diagnostic Camp, which started on January 1.
Secretary of DMCH Managing Society, Prem Kumar Gupta said that they have received an overwhelming response from the residents of the city and its surrounding areas, and they intend to organise such free medical and surgical check up camps at regular intervals for poor and needy patients.
DMCH organised the “Special New Year Indoor Surgical and Diagnostic Camp” from January 1-31 in OPD Block from 9 am to 2 pm to commemorate its 50 years of dedicated patient care.
During the camp, the patients were examined by the consultants from the departments of general surgery, urology, eye, gynae and family planning. The patients who will get themselves registered in the ongoing camp through OPD and get operated in the month of January 2013 will be granted concessional surgical packages on hospital bill (excluding medicine)
Prem Kumar Gupta said that as a special new year gesture, patients undergoing investigations and procedures including Mammography, Dexa Scan, OPG (Dental X-Ray), Nuclear Medicine Imaging in Hero DMC Heart Institute, Spirometery, Axial Biometry (Eye Department), Eye Ultrasound, FFA, ENG Audiometery, Speech Therapy, All Physiotherapy Exercises, Skin OPD and dental procedures will be entitled for twenty five percent discount.
