Mahendragarh Bhiwani MP Shruti Chaudhry hands over a memorandum for inclusion of Mahendragarh Bhiwani in the NCR to Kamal Nath Union Development Minister, in New Delhi.
Jalandhar/New Delhi, June 22, 2013: Possibly two districts of South Haryana are likely to be included in National Capital Region (NCR) very soon.
This was stated by Shruti Chaudhry, daughter of former Haryana Minister Ch. Surender Singh and sitting Haryana Minister Kiran Chaudhry and grand daughter of former Haryana Chief Minister Banshi Lal, Member Parliament from Mahendragarh Bhiwani parliamentary segment by way of an eMail. She said that it was a long-standing demand of the people of Bhiwani and Mahendragarh districts to be included in NCR. With the adding these areas it will open gates of development. She said both the districts are bordering Rajasthan.
She said she had met Kamal Nath, Union Development Minister in this connection in Delhi and also handed over a memorandum for inclusion of Bhiwani and Maheandragarh districts in the NCR around six months ago too, when she had conveyed the feeling of people of this area demanding to be included in NCR as its status.
She revealed that after the intervention of Kamal Nath,the Union Minister, a survey was conducted by a committee set up for inclusion of the areas in question under NCR. She said the committee has now also released its report.
Shruti said Kamal Nath's attitude was soft and positive, assuring her that a decision on her request would be taken up soon keeping in view the sentiments of the people of Mahendragarh and Bhiwani. She said an announcement in this regard is likely to be in positive gesture from the Union Development Ministry by the end of next month or so.
