PUNJAB government implements MeDLEaPR Software for doctors

Chandigarh, June 18, 2013:  Punjab government has implemented Medico-Legal Reports software for all the Doctors working in Government or Private Hospitals to prepare Medico-legal Report (Assault, Road Side Accidents, etc.).

Disclosing this here today Madan Mohan Mittal, Minster for Health and Family Welfare, Punjab said that it has been made mandatory for private and government doctors to use the MedLEaPR software. He said that all the doctors who conduct MLRs may get the password issued for access to the software from the appropriate authority.

Giving information about the software, Vinni Mahajan Principal Secretary, Health & Family welfare said that all private institutions are supposed to share the site of MedLEaPR generated. She said that to implement this software one state nodal officers Dr. Surinder Ghangar and additional state nodal officer Dr. Parminder Singh Bhatti has been appointed. Any doctor facing any difficulty in using this software could contact these nodal officers.

She said that Punjab Medlar Society is constituted for training, compliance & monitoring of implementation of this software. To obtain username and Password the concerned doctor has to fill the complete Bio-data on the prescribed performa and send the same through the Head of the Institute where he is working to the Director Health Services, Punjab, Parivar Kalyan Bhavan, Sector 34-A,  Chandigarh (dhspunjab@gmail.com). The concerned doctor can also contact the respective IMA, President of the district.
