Chandigarh, June 17, 2013: The Punjab Government today placed the services of two Executive Engineers, one Sub Divisional Engineer and a Junior Engineer of Public Works Department (PWD), under suspension on the charge of dereliction in duty.
Disclosing this here today, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, PWD Minister informed that Manjeet Singh, Adesh Gupta, both Executive Engineers, Kimat Lal, Sub Divisional Engineer and Nishu Bansal, Junior Engineer have been suspended. He said that these officers have been suspended since a panel of a RUB inaugurated at Bathinda in September last year, which was constructed under the supervision of these official has collapsed due to heavy rain.
Dhillon said that falling of the panel shows dereliction in performance of their duty, which would not be tolerated at any cost. He said that during suspension period the suspended officers will remain attach with the office of Chief Engineer (HQ) at Patiala.
